We will be reforming our Pack for the new 2026-2027 scouting year and welcoming new scouts so feel free to invite your school friends. On 8/18 we will have the youth building rain gutter regatta boats for racing the following week.

On 8/17, Mr. Doug Hess, our District Executive will be going around to Blandford classes getting them pumped up for joining scouts. On 8/18 6pm in the cafeteria Cubmaster TJ and Mr. Doug will hold a Sign Up night for new families to come, ask questions, and sign up their children for scouts. All returning scouts should attend the regular scheduled meeting at the Scout Cabin unless you want to help participate in Blandford Sign Up night.

This week, 9/1, all dens will focus on the Bobcat adventures (Team forming). This is a 1 week scheduled rank required adventure.

The first den meetings are exciting. New group, who dis? Well that's what this meeting is all about! All scouts, parents, and leaders will meet at the flag poles promptly at 6:30pm for the Pledge of Allegiance, Scout Oath, Scout Law, and the Cubmaster minutes. Afterwards the groups, called dens (think wolf den), will break up into groups by school grades K-5th and start working on their first Adventure Loop requirements: Bobcat.

Our New Member Coordinator (Mrs. Julie) will host an adults training class called: "Fake It Till You Make It". In this class she will give parents/guardians the confidence they need to attend an overnight campout, setting up a tent, sleep systems, and how to show your kids you know what you are doing when you have no idea.

This week, 9/8,  all dens will focus on the Let's Camp adventures. This is a 1 week scheduled rank elective adventure.

This event to help first year scouters on how to go camping. Scouts and families will visit with each area, ask questions, participate in activities, and gain knowledge of what it is like to go camping with Scouts.

You've signed them up for an adventure, now let's go camping! On 9/11-9/13 will be the first camp out of the scouting season at our home location the Scout Cabin at Mill Creek (where we meet normally). This is expected to be a low impact campout easy introduction for our new families while still be close to your home if it totally becomes a disaster.

The theme for this campout is "America, the wild and free!" At this campout we will be working on the Liberty In Action patch as this is a special 2026 America 250 patch that the scouts can only earn this year by completing the list of requirements. So don some patriotic theme clothing while learning about what makes America Amazingly Awesome!

We will be charging $15 a person to buy food for cooking for the weekend. That is 6 meals, snacks, and drinks. We will not be charging a fee for camping this weekend. You can pay online for your campout food here. We also take cash, check, or card. See Cubmaster TJ for in person payment. Once you have paid for food we will count you for camping. Registration for this campout will close on 9/9/2026.

This week, 9/15, all dens will focus on the Outdoors adventures. This is a 2 week scheduled rank required adventure.

• Dragons (0-4 year olds): These siblings get "Dragged on" to scouting events and form our "unofficial scouting den" are welcomed to attend their sibling's group with their parent.

• Lions (Kindergarten): Moutain Lion Adventure **Parent/Guardian Required in group**

• Tigers (1st grade): Tigers in the Wild Adventure **Parent/Guardian Required in group**

• Wolves (2nd grade): Paws on the Path Adventure

• Bears (3rd grade): Bear Habitat Adventure
