Communication is key to a successful scouting unit. Pack 650 has a few different ways we communicate to families:
Reminder: All communication is expected to be in line with the Scout Oath and Law, so let's be COURTEOUS and KIND to each other.
Email: All registered families will receive automated email reminders when approaching events on our Scouting calendar. In the event/email it will explain what each den (grade) is working towards for that week. If a family can't make it to scouts that week, no worries, just simply work on those requirements at home and notify the den leader of requirement completion.
GroupMe: For internal Den communication for coordinating events, absence, or support we have created several GroupMe groups for the free interchanging of ideas.
*We do have a Facebook page for public recruiting efforts and private Facebook group but not everyone has Facebook anymore, so we changed in Jun 2025 to GroupMe app from Remind app for internal communications.
Paper Flyers: While you visit the Scout Cabin take a look at our Pack bulletin board in the corner. We try to post upcoming events there with the sign up QR codes.
The Scouting app: Our Pack utilizes the red mobile Scouting app for tracking your scouts' advancements, your RSVPs for events, the most up to date Pack calendar, any payments made to the Pack, and (under Payments) the Scout Account funds that can be used at the next event.
Leadership Contacts: Any family can reach out to Cubmaster TJ pack650rincon@gmail.com, Committee Chair Mrs. Sara smrogue1997@gmail.com, or Charter Organization Representative Mr. Scott bsatrowell@gmail.com. If all of these leaders are unavailable, please contact Twin Rivers District Executive Mr. Doug at Douglas.Hess@scouting.org.
